Rob Jones is a natural communicator. I can honestly say that this course is first class. Rob explains things clearly and succintly. For me, this is one of the best things I have done. As it has allowed me to get into Ableton Live and enjoy being creative without being bogged down with all the technical stuff. I couldn''t recommend this course more highly. It really is top notch.

Electronic music production has come a long way since I used an AtariST 1024 to run Steinberg Pro12 before our band split at the end of the 1980's. We've been out of music creation since then, until the original line up got back together during 2011. Having settled on Ableton Live 8 as a flexible and creative tool, with a refreshingly clear layout, being an old guy I needed clear instruction to get me up to speed. Rob's video tutorials are just what was needed - clearly presented at good pace, each one containing about the right amount of information. In a couple of weeks I have developed a well rounded grasp of Ableton that would otherwise have taken a couple of months of frustration... or more. Money well spent.

Hey Rob!! Just wanted to say thanks for the great lessons learnt from the video clips! I was fortunate enough to get the course as a birthday gift from my girlfriend as i keep talking bout taking the courses. As a long time DJ, it was a natural progression to move into production. The only problem is that I had no idea where to start. The Ableton Live course put me on the fast track to understanding music production and within a very short time I was able to wrap my head around the software. to it's full potential and I have to say what I've learned on this course in only a few modules is huge compared
the other course I did...each subject is explained
really clearly and a huge amount is covered in just 20 mins.

I've have enjoyed the course so far. I've been playing around with Ableton for a bit, so some of the very basic concepts are already familiar, but I've definately picked up a few pointers and shortcuts from Rob along the way.

Overall, Rob's pace is just right - I tend to pause and rewind bits and bobs, and try to play along as he demonstrates the techniques, making sure I've caught all the main points. I'm finding this to be a good method, but obviously it means the lesson takes a bit longer to do.

Having the tutorial to explore in my own time is a big plus, and certainly helps to cement the lesson. The PDF notes are a handy primer and, much like the lessons, are the right length - just a few pages with the main points.

I bought Live 7 a while ago but never really got into it. I often played around with the program but only used it just to timestretch my beats, before importing into Logic. But after doing both Abelton courses and upgrading to 8, I am now finding that Live is my go-to DAW weapon of choice!.

I'm now playing Dj gigs with live... and I love it. Rob, Thanks mate without you and this course, I'd be still jammin in the garage!!

First i would like to encourage any DJ, Musician,Producer or Sound Engineer to take these courses. Specially DJ's will argue about the digital stuff, but with having been there and done it , i can say besides scratching a vinyl no one with a pair of Technics 1200's and a mixer can do what this software does.

Rob is a great person when it comes to teaching and presentation. I have done both within one month(took 7 days off), but also have to admit being in the Audio(PA & FOH) & DJ bizz for 25 years. But i learned a lot and might need to review some chapters so now and than specially about synth's and midi i am not a musician. Also Rob has given me some great info on controllers and other related stuff. Just a fair and straight forward advice.

I would already like to take the opportunity to say thanks to a great course.. It might sound weird but i cycled through the course 1 already. i used loop master pack and my own Synth on VST from Core and i managed to fill in some tunes and stabs. When out of sync or key-sounding wrong i transposed it and it works out.....
I can't tell you how happy i am with this Course and this Software. It is the most incredible stuff in the world....So far i made a 20 Min song with in between some jam session and remix DJ style stuff fluctuating from funky riffs and into techno Benny Benassi style. And i made a Italo style song of 3 min.
I will practice some more before i begin with Course 2.....

Rob explain in a simple way, concepts about electronic music....because of him and your courses, i have stopped frustrating experimentation.....and now I know what i do with the knobs on a synth. I stop play patches on a vst and make my own....it's very funny!!!!!
I used Cubase for many years....and in 2002 with name of FConnection i made 3 production on DEEPERFECT Records (Stefano Noferini label, an italian dj) but now i meet live-courses.com....and WoW....I WANT PRODUCE AGAIN!!!!

I just finished the beginners course yesterday and am completely satisfied. I had no prior knowledge about abletone live, nor about any other music software.
I had bought live8 out of an impulse, and was a bit frustrated by the built-in lessons of the official version of live.
Live-Courses.com lessons are crisp-clear, entertaining, and give a very thorough training.
Rob did a marvelous job. I have now quite a bit of confidence, and am amazed at the quality and versatility of live8.

I'm in my late 40s and new to this stuff. I tried Pro Tools, and I tried Sonar, and although I loved Sonar it was a little too complex for this old dog to learn, but Ableton Live is ridiculously straightforward in terms of getting good results very quickly, and what your courses do is make the difference to enable old dogs like me to learn all the new tricks that helps me put out the best I can. No excuses any more!! Great courses....thanks for opening my eyes at last!

Rob is amazing ! whenever i have questions he emails me back within 24 hours, he is helpful and encouraging :) The videos are very helpful - I love that i can just keep rewinding it to make sure i don't miss anything. He is also easy on the eyes ;) hehe

Before this course i had 2 different teachers who were helpful but i found them only teaching me things the way they do things... so i found it limiting and frustrating.
So far this has been the most effective way of learning for me.

I look forward to the other modules and being able to finally make sense of making tracks :)

Thanks for an excellent course. I Have tried a lot of courses/tutorials on DVD, download, youtube etc. and think this one is the best by far. Here is some of the reasons why:

1. The educational level is very high and professional. Each chapter covers an important part of Live. Everything is presented in a clear ,straightforward way and accompanied with practical examples. Just finished the courses, and WOW, so amazing!! The last Video on the Advanced was my favorite!! Rob where did you learn to produce and play music? That track was really cool!!

I have already seen many courses like this and Live-courses.com material is very good indeed!

Never used this app before, so I felt to get both series of materials (Beginner and Advanced)! This is a BIG course (9 hours 8 minutes) and covers nearly every aspects of Ableton Live 8.
Having checked the videos now I absolutely got why it is praised by many producers and what it is especially good for. The concept and the structure of both courses offered me a great learning experience and learning something really new and different was a big fun at last! Even the basic Live course surpassed my expectation and resulted sometimes in a high "whoooaaa-factor".

All videos come with great looking PDF materials, they reminded me perfectly what I had watched earlier, so these additional PDFs
